As Ghana seeks sustainable solutions for food security, youth employment, and rural development, the Volta Region is boldly stepping forward—positioning itself as the national hub for agricultural excellence, innovation, and global partnerships.
To further this mission, we are honored to welcome a High-Powered U.S. Farmers Delegation from Nebraska for the second time, under the auspices of the Volta Africa American Chamber (VAAC). The visit, taking place in the first week of June 2025, is a strategic step in building lasting international partnerships that will empower local farmers, improve access to technology, and open doors for agri-investment.
This engagement is not just a ceremonial visit—it is a vital platform for knowledge exchange, infrastructure dialogue, and commercial collaboration that directly supports:
- Modernization of farming practices
- Access to advanced agritech and machinery
- Value chain development for local produce
- Youth and women inclusion in agribusiness
- Export-readiness and food sovereignty
Under the leadership of Mr. Daniel Agboka-Dzegede, President of VAAC and Executive Director of the Volta Development Forum, this initiative is part of a long-term vision to transform the Volta Region into Ghana’s agricultural powerhouse.
