Jay Reiners, a recently retired fourth-generation farmer from Juniata, Nebraska, has dedicated over three decades to advancing sustainable agriculture and promoting global trade. His family farm, established in 1892, has been a cornerstone of Nebraska’s agricultural community.
Throughout his career, Jay has been actively involved in agricultural leadership. He served as chairman of the Nebraska Corn Board and was elected as secretary/treasurer of the U.S. Grains Council, where he played a pivotal role in facilitating international trade and promoting U.S. grains worldwide.
Jay’s commitment to agriculture is complemented by his academic background; he is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and has served in Nebraska’s Army National Guard. In 1992, his family’s farm received the Aksarben Pioneer Farm Award, recognizing over a century of continuous family ownership and operation.
Beyond his professional achievements, Jay is passionate about leveraging his expertise to support agricultural development in Africa. He believes in the potential of sustainable farming practices to enhance food security and improve livelihoods across the continent.

Brandon Hunnicutt is a visionary fifth-generation farmer from Giltner, Nebraska, with a global perspective on sustainable agriculture. Drawing from his extensive experience managing Hunnicutt Farms—a family operation producing corn, soybeans, popcorn, and sorghum—Brandon has become a leader in implementing cutting-edge farming practices that balance productivity with environmental stewardship.
Brandon’s passion for sustainability is rooted in over a century of farming tradition, combined with his forward-thinking use of precision agriculture. His expertise includes leveraging technologies like autosteer systems, advanced planters, and biological products to enhance soil health, optimize nutrient management, and reduce environmental impact. His leadership in promoting cover crops and conservation tillage practices underscores his commitment to regenerative farming techniques that benefit ecosystems and communities alike.
As a former chair of the Nebraska Corn Board (NCB) and National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) board member, Brandon has championed innovative approaches to farming on both local and national levels. His tenure as the first farmer to lead Field to Market—a national initiative for sustainable agriculture—demonstrates his ability to bring diverse stakeholders together to address global agricultural challenges.
