The Volta Africa American Chamber (VAAC) successfully hosted a high-powered USA Farmers Delegation on Wednesday, 12th March 2025, in a landmark event aimed at fostering agricultural partnerships, knowledge exchange, and investment opportunities in the Volta Region of Ghana.

Delivering the welcome address, the Director of Operations and Strategy at VAAC, Desmond Kitsi emphasized the critical role of agriculture in securing the economic prosperity of Africa, Ghana, and the Volta Region. He highlighted the region’s natural advantages, including fertile lands, vast water bodies, and a strong agricultural workforce, positioning it as a potential hub for large-scale grain production.
The event was further enriched by a compelling speech from Daniel Kodjo Agboka Dzegede, Founder & President of VAAC, who reinforced his commitment to supporting farmers and ensuring that agriculture remains a key driver of regional development. He urged local farmers to unite and leverage opportunities created through international partnerships, with a bold vision of making the Volta Region the leading supplier of corn and grains in Ghana.
